i found this tight article that i had to throw your way... it compares the modern church (what most say they are today) with the emerging church (what i wish we were today & strive to be tomorrow). this looks specifically at evangelism - i'd love to get your feedback on this one... enjoy!

Evangelism uses the church being the church as the primary apologetic.
